South Africa Mine Disaster?

From the Reuters website:

“Some 3,200 miners were trapped underground on Wednesday at a South African mine belonging to the world’s fifth biggest gold producer, the Harmony Gold company said.”

 If what a Union official has told the BBC is anything to go by, it looks very, very, very bad:

“We are, you know, losing hope because… from six o’clock in the morning up until now the miners might actually be suffocating”
