Yes but I’ll take it because it means no Stasi and also no Greenies so I’ll have to live with the FDP doing very well.

I dunno, with that bastard Lafontaine in it who knows…given how slavishly pro-Russian and anti-American Die Stasi is anything that keeps them from having influence is good. IMHO, OC.

You *have* noticed that this was actually the second worst result for the CDU-CSU ever, right?

There was never any chance of the KPD joining government this time. Next time… maybe. Depends how things develop over the next round of state elections, I guess.

Admittedly the grey lining to the silver cloud is how well Die Stasi did, but at least they were kept out of government!
